Some great lessons reinforced recently for us... dig deep and be STRONG (even if you are terrified), don't be afraid to be OUTRAGEOUS (or silly, funny, different, unique, or quirky), and perhaps most importantly discover, nurture, and always be YOURSELF! Just wanted to tell you that I suffer with major depressive disorder and had a horrible weekend last weekend. Slept for 48 hours, cried, etc. Pulled myself up and finally got to work on Tuesday afternoon. Looked at my bracelet and actually read and realized what that bracelet was for me: thank God for each day, pray for help with struggles, I am perfect just the way I am and God told me I must live everyday for Sawyer and those who didn't get to live life for long. I have that opportunity and won't take it for granted. That's why I got the bracelet. To live. And not give up. And be myself. Sawyer has already done more in his short life than people do in 90 years. Thank God for that. Just wanted to share with you. Love you & praying for you.

Bear with me this is going to be a bit of a story.  Alyson's nickname is squirrel so as you can imagine we have amassed a bit of a collection of little squirrels. When Aly was little she would give some of them to Jeff and say they were his protectors. When Jeff's truck burned down a few years back he had a "protector" riding on the dash of his truck. Luckily Jeff made it out unscathed, however, a hole was burned in the windshield and even though there were no burn marks on the dash the squirrel was gone. We still keep a little collection of them here in our motor home when we travel. Today Sawyer is riding with a protector on our trip down to Florida  # teamsawyer   # mysawyerbracelet

Saw joined Lucas at swimming lessons this morning. — at  Green Ridge Recreation Center .
