SOY: be Strong be Outrageous be You

Signed up for a 5k to honor  Jaime Clemmer s sweet boy. This picture of him makes me smile every time I see it. He is still bringing light into this world.  Thanks for letting us be a part of celebrating his life. We love your family! # teamsawyer

And one more thing tonight that made me smile and tear up at the same time.....While taking pictures I noticed Laura had on one of those rubber bracelets that a lot of kids wear... And I said honey why don't you take that off since you're going to a formal dance. And she looked at me and said no Mom I'm not taking it off. I've never taken it off and I'm not starting now. And then I realized what it was..the bracelets they had made for Sawyer McKinley (a classmate) after he passed suddenly this school year. So Sawyer I hope you're up in heaven dancing tonight too  ❤️ .

We did it! We survived, kinda. First 5k for 80% of the people in this picture. Only our SoySoy could get them to go through with it. Mourning, heartbroken, and physically needing to run away we bought tickets to escape for Spring Break. We searched for the cheapest tickets we could find and guess what? They were to Paris! Originally they were to Italy but our credit card refused the charge thinking it was fraud and by the time we authorized it the price had jumped way up. So no Italy, but we kept watching and when Paris came up for cheaper than a ticket to California, we bought! We were sad, but being sad in Paris was WAY better than being sad at home!

Sawyer was no stranger to winning. His dad is always representing Sawyer, especially during the big wins.

Worldwide Candle Lighting service with the purpose of  lighting a candle to honor the memories of a child or children who have passed. Several people lit a candle in honor of Sawyer and some sent us a photo.

Sawyer would have grown up to travel the world and do amazing things. We always said we thought he was going to be an Extreme Sports Professional one day. He loved going new places, trying new things, and pushing the boundaries of what he thought were his limitations. In that vein, we hope people will honor Sawyer and remember him. An easy way to do that is to wear the SOY bracelet and send us a picture, especially when you go somewhere fun or  do something Outrageous Sawyer would do if he were alive to do it. We love seeing all the places he'd go if given the chance. Thanks for carrying his memory and sharing it with us.
